About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a People & Culture Manager at Quietly. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our end-to-end HR function and setting the tone for our company culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full cycle recruiting, including marketing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of top talent
  • Coaching and guiding people leaders on people practices, such as performance management, career development, and employee relations
  • Collaborating with our CEO and COO to create and deliver strategic HR initiatives, including research, recommendation, ownership, and implementation
  • Communicating updates and insights to our quarterly Town Halls, Leadership team, and weekly standups
  • Participating in and overseeing our internal Culture Committee and Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging (DIEB) committee
  • Administering and providing insights and recommendations from our bi-annual team member survey
  • Becoming the subject matter expert in and administrator of our HR tech stack, including goals management and professional development platforms
  • Working with our senior leadership team to facilitate our annual compensation review cycle
  • Administering and improving on benefits policies and programs, including renewals and utilization reporting
  • Overseeing all HR documentation, including the management and organization of all HR data
  • Updating and maintaining our Handbook and Policies
  • Facilitating the onboarding and offboarding process, from new hire orientation to exit interviews
  • Supporting and coordinating the continuous performance program
  • Working alongside our Office Coordinator to oversee the configuration of Quietly HQ
  • Overseeing Quietly's approach to health, safety, community, and environment
  • Maintaining and building knowledge of trends and standard practices on the HR discipline to proactively examine and suggest improvements to culture, practices, and policies
Requirements
  • An experienced HR Business Partner, Generalist, or Manager with a proven track record of driving an end-to-end HR function and setting the tone for culture at progressive organizations
  • CPHR designation considered an asset or working towards it
  • Experience from a tech/creative company or marketing/PR agency is highly preferred
  • Proven track record of coaching, creating trust, and maintaining relationships at all levels
  • Resourcefulness and ability to roll up sleeves to make things happen in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts
  • Ability to advocate for the team and challenge senior leadership when required with tact and respect
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000–$95,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our headquarters are located in a converted two-storey live-work space with a gorgeous rooftop patio in the heart of historic Gastown. The building and first floor of our unit are accessible spaces.
