About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Avantis Marine North America Inc. as a Fabrication and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Material Handling: Handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Various locations, including marine environments.
  • Work Setting: Confined spaces, physically demanding work.
