About the Role

Costa Railings Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Interpret welding process specifications and execute manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment operations to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining a high level of quality control throughout the fabrication process.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Material Handling: Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to handle heavy loads, ensuring safe and efficient material handling practices.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment, standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads, with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in metal fabrication and repair, with a focus on welding and metalworking.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring the ability to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Language and Work Schedule: Fluency in English, with a 40-hour workweek and a permanent employment contract.
