About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Whitecaps Football Club Ltd. As a key member of our Business Intelligence department, you will play a critical role in driving business decisions through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Validate Statistical Models: Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  2. Reporting and Dashboard Development: Prepare reports and dashboards using BI/visualization tools that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  3. Insight Meetings and Stakeholder Engagement: Lead regularly scheduled insight meetings with department stakeholders to share findings and recommendations.
  4. Collaboration and Data Quality: Collaborate with and gather critical information from other departmental stakeholders to anticipate data analysis requirements and recommend plus implement solutions.
  5. Data Management and Analytics Support: Monitor and maintain data quality and data hygiene across multiple platforms, and provide project management and analytics support of the Business Intelligence & CRM department strategy in support of the club's overarching business plan.
  6. SQL Query Development and Data Export Workflows: Creating, optimizing, and managing complex SQL queries and views, and creation and management of automated data export workflows.
  7. Survey Design and Data Collection: Design, programming, and execution of fan surveys and data collection.
  8. Ad-Hoc Analysis and Additional Duties: Perform ad-hoc analysis and additional duties as needed.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: A combination of experience and education will be considered, with a preference for 2-3 years of data analytics experience in a corporate setting.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Tableau and/or PowerBI, building statistical models, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office suite, and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom).
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the Business Intelligence team both internally and externally.
  4. Additional Assets: Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM software (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics), and survey programming.
