Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Advanced Analytics Department at the Vancouver Airport Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading Business Intelligence projects, providing expert business and technical support, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Business Intelligence Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership and the business to define and implement Business Intelligence strategies, working with the business to develop plans and architecture.
- Project Planning and Implementation: Lead the planning and implementation of Business Intelligence and data analytics projects, including defining scope, developing project plans, budgets, tracking deliverables, and alignment with business goals.
- Process Improvement: Document current business processes, conduct requirements analysis, and identify system and process improvements.
- Standards and Methodologies: Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and methodologies for Business Intelligence processes and tools.
- User Adoption: Develop and implement strategies to drive user adoption of Business Intelligence solutions, conducting training sessions and workshops to educate users on Business Intelligence tools and best practices.
- Mentorship: Mentor business and junior IT resources in business analysis, technical troubleshooting, and Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse support skills.
- Experience: Minimum of ten years' recent experience implementing and supporting enterprise data warehouses in medium to large organizations, supplemented by a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Senior-Level Business Analysis and Project Management: Five years recent experience in senior-level business analysis and project management.
- Business Analysis and Project Management Skills: Strong business analysis (BA) and project management (PM) skills.
- Service Delivery and Proactive Outlook: Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a pro-active outlook.
- Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Knowledge: Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) is considered an asset.
We offer a competitive salary range of $97,599 to $127,555 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
