Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled Security Supervisor to join our team
As a Security Supervisor, you will play a critical role in protecting our company assets and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. You will be responsible for leading a team of Security Officers who will act as friendly and helpful ambassadors to our guests while protecting our assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protect company assets and property;
- Investigate, report, and document all irregular, unusual, suspicious, or illegal activities;
- Respond to and ensure all alarms and incidents are addressed promptly and in accordance with established procedures;
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions;
- Safeguard confidential information and prevent its improper disclosure or use;
- Monitor patron self-exclusion program as required;
- Answer emergency calls and provide immediate care to ill and injured patrons and employees;
- Provide first aid and/or emergency medical care to affected personnel and provide a report to the responding EMS unit as required;
- Provide training and coaching to Security Officers as needed;
- Responsible for the supervision and performance management of Security Officers;
- Ensure Security personnel are fully briefed prior to each shift;
- Responsible for completing daily reporting as required;
- Assist management with projects as needed;
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Shift Manager and/or Security Manager.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in Gaming Management, with at least 4 years in a senior management role;
- Post-secondary education in Law and Security or equivalent experience in a related field;
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field;
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate and Smart Serve certificate required;
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong problem-solving, reporting, and conflict resolution skills;
- People-focused and committed to service excellence;
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed;
- Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the AGCO.
