We are seeking a skilled Youth Worker to join our team at e4c, a leading organization in Edmonton that provides support services to youth.

About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for building positive relationships with youth, providing guidance and support, and facilitating case management sessions. You will work closely with youth to develop client-centered goals and provide referrals and follow-up support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buidng rapport and supervising youth through one-on-one support
  • Planning and accompanying youth on recreational activities
  • Facilitating case assessments and case management sessions
  • Supporting and monitoring progress of youth in developing client-centered goals
  • Providing referrals and follow-up support to external services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience working with marginalized populations
  • A two-year diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC), Social Work, Human Services, or related field
  • A non-judgmental, empathetic, flexible, and independent approach to working with youth
  • The ability to connect and inspire trust with youth struggling with addictions, poverty, mental health, trauma, LGBTQ2S+, and newcomers to Canada
