We are seeking a skilled Youth Worker to join our team at e4c, a leading organization in Edmonton that provides support services to youth.
About the RoleAs a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for building positive relationships with youth, providing guidance and support, and facilitating case management sessions. You will work closely with youth to develop client-centered goals and provide referrals and follow-up support as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Buidng rapport and supervising youth through one-on-one support
- Planning and accompanying youth on recreational activities
- Facilitating case assessments and case management sessions
- Supporting and monitoring progress of youth in developing client-centered goals
- Providing referrals and follow-up support to external services
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience working with marginalized populations
- A two-year diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC), Social Work, Human Services, or related field
- A non-judgmental, empathetic, flexible, and independent approach to working with youth
- The ability to connect and inspire trust with youth struggling with addictions, poverty, mental health, trauma, LGBTQ2S+, and newcomers to Canada
