About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Epidemiology Department, where you will play a key role in driving epidemiology strategy and studies across the spectrum of drug development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute epidemiology programs to inform asset/disease area strategy and development activities.
  • Provide scientific leadership in the application of epidemiological expertise and methods to answer key challenges identified across all phases of medicine development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute epidemiology studies, including regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives on the role of epidemiology at the departmental level.
  • Represent GSK on scientific discussions with internal governance bodies and external regulators/conferences.
Requirements
  • PhD in Epidemiology or other Quantitative Public Health discipline.
  • Experience applying epidemiologic methods in at least one disease area.
  • Experience operating in a matrix environment with independent delivery of increasingly complex epidemiological studies.
  • Demonstrated epidemiological experience and ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in an academic or government setting.
  • Expertise in complex research techniques, tools, and procedures.
  • Broad knowledge of private and public use datasets.
  • Highly proficient written, verbal, and listening skills.
