Silent H is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for kitchen staff.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Create innovative recipes and menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets and weddings.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff to ensure a skilled and motivated kitchen team.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, including food allergies and intolerances.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs to maintain kitchen equipment and ensure food safety.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing kitchen teams and achieving exceptional results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
