Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, ensuring that we are always stocked with the necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Menu Planning: Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring that our menus are innovative and appealing to our guests.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Staff Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as providing guidance on kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Excellent culinary skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
