About the Opportunity

We are seeking an IT Vendor Management Lead to join our strategic partnership team, focusing on managing relationships with key vendors to deliver value and support business objectives. This role involves performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and process improvement to uphold Teck's standards.

Job Description
  • Safety Leadership: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key vendors, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Vendor Alignment: Ensure vendor services align strictly with business objectives and deliver desired value.
  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration between vendors and internal teams to improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: College/University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Skills: Vast knowledge of effective vendor management techniques and industry norms, experience with performance monitoring and reporting tools, excellent negotiation skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $132,000 - $163,000 per year, considering relevant experience, skills, and competencies, and internal equity.
