Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned IT Vendor Management professional to join our team at Teck. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing relationships with key vendors to deliver value and support strategic objectives.

About the Role

This role includes performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and process improvement to uphold Teck's standards. You will work closely with procurement teams to ensure vendor services align strictly with business objectives and deliver desired value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key vendors, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Foster collaboration between vendors and internal teams to improve service delivery
  • Support the management of vendor agreements with procurement teams to ensure favorable conditions for the organization
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vendor contracts and related documentation
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A college/university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant certifications in vendor management, contract management, or supply chain management are an asset
  • 4-6 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field
  • Vast knowledge of effective vendor management techniques and industry norms
  • Experience with performance monitoring and reporting tools
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

The salary range for this position is $132,000 - $163,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.
