Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist to join our academic faculty at the University of Alberta. This is a full-time position that will comprise approximately 60% clinical service and 40% academic or administrative pursuits.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases with expertise in antimicrobial stewardship, global health, infection prevention and control, pediatric tuberculosis, transplant ID, and vaccinology
- Participate in active educational scholarship programs and contribute to education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Engage in research, teaching, and administrative duties, including serving as Divisional Director for the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases
- MD degree and completion of a specialty residency in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases
- Proven record of high-quality research achievements through peer-reviewed funding and publications
- Eligibility to obtain a specialist license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and hold appropriate liability coverage
This position offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, commensurate with the income scale of a successful academic alternate funding plan.
