Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Property Damage Analyst to join our team at CAA Club Group. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve vendor estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Negotiate costs with vendors and contractors to ensure fair and reasonable estimates
- Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews relative to the CAA member, vendors, and the insurance company
- Advise property adjusters on exceptions and provide guidance on estimate reviews
- Coordinate appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched efficiently
- Participate in industry events and special projects to benefit the claims department
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in building construction as a project manager or senior property adjuster with an insurance carrier
- Working knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software
- Familiarity with building codes and hazardous material exposure management
- Relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards a CIP designation
- IICRC Fire and Water restoration certification an asset
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills
- Advanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis and negotiation skills
