Under direct supervision, this role specializes in preparing, cutting, processing, and wrapping meats, maintains cleanliness within the work area, fills product displays, checks dates to rotate products, and provides exceptional customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
The Meat Wrapper will be responsible for:
  • Working professionally as part of the team and providing excellent customer service.
  • Utilizing machines to wrap, seal, and label meats, poultry, and seafood.
  • Cleaning and cutting meat as needed.
  • Restocking and organizing displays to ensure they are clean and organized.
  • Maintaining safety and health guidelines.
  • Assisting the Meat Cutter and Meat Clerk.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
  • A valid Food Handlers Card.
  • Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
The Meat Wrapper will be required to:
  • Walk continuously throughout the shift.
  • Stand continuously throughout the shift.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
