We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator Specialist to join our team at Prime Truck Centre Limited.

About the Job

The Payroll Administrator Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including preparation of statements of earnings, maintaining financial data, and performing clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process payroll: Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
  • Maintain financial data: Store, update and retrieve financial data
  • Clerical duties: Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems
  • Balance period-end reports: Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
  • Administration of benefits: Complete and submit documentations for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment and medical insurance
  • Employee communication: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
  • Record-keeping: Maintain records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Skills and qualifications: Strong knowledge of MS Excel, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work in a standard office environment with occasional travel to other locations
Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
