About the Job

Les Moulins La Fayette is seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team as a Menu Planner and Kitchen Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning menus and estimating food requirements for their realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Estimate food requirements to ensure efficient inventory management and minimize waste.
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Recruit and hire staff to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
