Industrial Equipment Rental Coordinator

Job Summary:

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Equipment Rental Specialist to join our team. As an Equipment Rental Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting customers with rentals of construction and industrial equipment. This is an inside sales role that requires strong administrative skills and a professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying
  • Negotiate price and volume of original orders
  • Place high volumes of equipment orders
  • Secure equipment by checking availability and providing adequate notice to Dispatch and Service Departments
  • Administer rental contracts, including on and off rental dates, rates, and ancillary charges
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by performing prospecting calls and forwarding sales leads
  • Record details of calls and maintain lost rent logs
  • Review daily management reports and provide regular feedback to the Profit Center Manager
  • Manage projects undertaken at the Profit Center, including labor and materials to maximize profitability and meet customer and safety requirements
  • Participate in After Hours and Emergency Response efforts
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and ensure all activity and customer transactions are performed within Sunbelt safety policies
  • Train other employees as needed and may serve in a lead capacity to other CSRs

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools and equipment
  • Previous equipment rental industry experience
  • Knowledge about parts and equipment
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Solid computer and administrative skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors and outdoors when required by the job.
