Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Program Manager to join our team at IISD Experimental Lakes Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of social and community service programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the delivery of social and community service programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Hire and train professional and non-professional staff to support program delivery.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to program delivery, including confidentiality and data protection.
  • Represent the organization in government liaison and media relations.
  • Manage budgets and expenditures for projects and programs.
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science or management.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or government setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail.
