About the Role

The Guelph Youth Music Centre is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in its mission to educate, enrich, and foster the development of our youth through music and the arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of our programs and services, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, funders, and volunteers.
  • Oversee the management of our facility and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of our assets.
  • Collaborate with our Board of Directors to identify and secure funding sources, including corporate and private sponsors, grants, and foundations.
  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to promote our programs and services.
  • Supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and resources to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as music education, arts administration, or non-profit management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or arts organization.
  • Proven track record of successful program development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and fundraising.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
