About the OpportunityAs a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, you will have significant latitude for initiative and independent action. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all designated MRI suites, including the instruction of students and direction of staff. You will ensure that patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlate clinical history with examinations to be performed. You will also assume responsibility for complex procedures designated via indirect supervision of the radiologist.
About YouWe are looking for a highly adaptable professional who can think critically and thrive as a member of a dynamic team. To be considered, you must be a graduate of an accredited School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology. You should also have Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) MRI exam and certification, as well as Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. Previous MRI experience is preferred. You should demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion and be able to frequently make independent decisions assessing diagnostic results.
Hours- Permanent full-time positions; 75 hours biweekly
- Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
$34.24 - $39.96 hourly
