About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a variety of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies
  • Operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment
  • Providing high-quality patient care and education
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans

About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Experience working in a nuclear medicine department or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and pension plan.
