About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutting Specialist to join our team at Reddy's Your Independent Grocer. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale in our supermarket and meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare high-quality meat products for our customers.
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, ensuring that they meet our quality standards.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Wrap and package prepared meats to ensure freshness and presentation.
  • Remove bones from meat, weigh meats for sale, and price meat products accurately.
  • Grind meats as needed and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential. As a Meat Cutting Specialist, you will be standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; we provide on-the-job training.
  • Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 to $40,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a health care plan and opportunities for professional growth within our company.
