We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Reddy's Your Independent Grocer.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming and preparing standard cuts of meat as well as special orders. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting carcasses, sides and quarters to prepare them for processing or sale
  • Preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cutting, trimming and preparing standard cuts of meat
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing and pricing meat products
  • Grinding meats
  • Preparing displays of meats, poultry and fish products

Work Environment:

This role is based in a supermarket and meat department environment where you will work with heavy loads, stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized and reliability
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
