About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at O/A Lamanna's Bakery, Fine Foods. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, bread, and other sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as required.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop or restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail required.
