About the Role:

The University of Toronto Press is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our Publishing Division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion across our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our market share.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Lead the development and implementation of sales and revenue plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Post-secondary graduate degree in business or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
