We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for completing repairs and alterations to building structures, including millwork, walls, ceilings, and doors. You will also be involved in in-house renovations and additions, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with codes and Provincial Acts.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Red-Seal Inter-provincial Carpenter Ticket and at least one year of related experience. Preference will be given to candidates with four years of experience. You will also need to have access to reliable transportation and be able to travel between sites as required. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Complete repairs and alterations to building structures
- Perform in-house renovations and additions
- Ensure all work is done in accordance with codes and Provincial Acts
- Travel between sites as required
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.82 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
