Carpenter - Maintenance and Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for completing repairs and alterations to building structures, including millwork, walls, ceilings, and doors. You will also be responsible for in-house renovations and additions, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with codes and Provincial Acts.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a Red-Seal Inter-provincial Carpenter Ticket and at least one year of related experience. Preference will be given to candidates with four years of experience. You will also need to have access to reliable transportation and be able to travel between sites as required. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $26.97 - $28.97. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. They may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
