Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management
    • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs
  • Household Management
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
    • Assist with laundry and linen management
  • Companionship and Social Support
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
    • Engage clients in activities and hobbies to promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Health and Safety
    • Administer medications as required
    • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Completion of a Personal Support Worker training program an asset
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in a personal support worker role an asset
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and transferring clients
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • CPR and First Aid certification required
