Transit Subways Submittal Coordinator

Job Summary:

Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, is seeking an experienced Submittal Coordinator to join our Transit Group in the GTHA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of large multi-year transit projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and DSVRs between clients, technical advisors, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Review submittals to understand relevant disciplines required for review
  • Develop reviewer distribution lists and build relationships with internal and external reviewers
  • Review suitability of reviewer comments to ensure formatting compliance
  • Develop and maintain documents to track submittal, RFI, and DSVR status
  • Develop reports outlining submittal, RFI, and DSVR status
  • Coordinate with document control teams to catalogue documents and transmit to external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a submittal coordinator or construction coordinator
  • Familiarity with engineering design management and review is an asset
  • Metrolinx or TTC project experience is an asset
  • Competency with Excel and Unifier/ProjectWise is an asset
  • Adept communication skills (written and verbal) and high organizational skills
