Job Title: Transit Subways Project Manager

Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, is seeking an experienced Transit Subways Project Manager to lead large multi-year projects for clients. Assignments may include the requirement to work from the client's premises in the GTHA.

This is a long-term role with the MH now Stantec team within our expanding Transit group. As a project manager and technical lead, you'll collaborate closely with the Client and Technical Advisory team on this transformative city project.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Transit station design experience required
  • Metrolinx or TTC project experience an asset
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, work plans, and schedules
  • Communicating with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Overseeing complex evaluations of planning and design alternatives
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, and proposals
  • Staff development and mentoring
  • Supporting business development and proposal preparation
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Registered Architect or Engineer in Ontario (or able to obtain immediate registration)
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience managing large scale projects
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
  • Demonstrated ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams specifically related to assessments and functional/preliminary and detail design assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and external stakeholders
  • Experience with business development and proposal preparation
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Able to work at a project office near Yonge Street and Finch 3 days per week (usually Tue, Wed, and Thu) most weeks
