Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity to lead the production team at IMP Aerospace & Defence, a leading company in the Aerospace field.

Job Summary

The CMLU Production Supervisor will oversee technical work package reviews and fact finding. They will also support production, facilities, and infrastructure planning as well as analyze production personnel requirements and technical qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical work package reviews and fact finding to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Support production planning and coordination with various teams within the organization.
  • Analyze production personnel requirements and technical qualifications to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Participate in organization structure planning for supervision and support teams.
  • Work with Leonardo Helicopters to develop training plans and On-the-Job-Training programs.
  • Manage tooling and equipment set-up including auditing, design, transition planning, and procurement oversight.
  • Support efforts to achieve Supplier Qualification (QRS-01) as required.
  • Draft reports and correspondence as well as present information to various stakeholders.
  • Support Program Risk Management through risk identification and mitigation options.
  • Liaise with all IMP Depts on technical matters as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training.
  • Conversant with Aerospace terminology, understanding of drawings, aircraft systems, and Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
  • Able to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-discipline and ability to work independently when required.
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Able to envision how Production work can/will be done to enhance planning efforts and maximize efficiency.
  • Experience working with AW101/CH149 Helicopter or in an aircraft manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to AS9100 standards is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacture with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and personal computer skills.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
