About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in Saint Laurent, Quebec. As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain a safe laboratory and working environment by handling hazardous materials, equipment, and waste.
  • Implement and maintain environmental health and safety programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Conduct surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
  • Perform routine ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain industrial hygiene equipment and perform monitoring to assess potential exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • Perform audits of labs, support areas, and offices to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
  • Assist in training new hires on handling chemical, biological, and radioactive hazards.
Requirements
  • Fully bilingual (English and French) is a must.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health or related field.
  • OR 2-3 years of related work experience with an understanding of environmental health principles.
  • Strong foundation in environmental health and safety.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Saint Laurent.
