Primary Care Paramedic

Job Summary:
Total Safety is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Paramedic to join our team as an Emergency Response Specialist. This role will be responsible for responding to emergencies, assessing situations, and applying appropriate protocols to ensure the safety of individuals and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and assess situations to determine the best course of action.
- Apply medical treatment techniques and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.
- Provide leadership and training to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with other emergency services teams to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and emergency response techniques and protocols.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) or Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP).
- Class 3 drivers' license with Q endorsement.
- Experience in emergency response, preferably in a refinery, upgrader, or chemical plant.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection, fire, rescue, medical, and hazmat response.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
