This esteemed medical institution boasts a new hospital with 95 beds, serving a referral population of 60,000.

A wide range of surgical services are offered, including fellowship-trained orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Obs/Gyn, Urology, Dental, and Sedation Service for Endoscopy.

Anesthesia is provided 24/7, with some surgical call services shared with neighboring centers in Comox and Courtenay. After-hours work may involve ICU and ER for trauma or acute airway management.

As part of the University of British Columbia's Island Medical Program, this position offers teaching opportunities to medical students and residents.
