We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Environmental Chemistry. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vibrant and innovative research program in the area of environmental chemistry, with a focus on developing and implementing state-of-the-art analytical chemistry methods for the analysis of chemical contaminants and environmental toxins relevant to human health.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead a research program in environmental chemistry, with a focus on analytical methods and chemical contaminants
- Establish a strong research group and collaborate with colleagues in the Faculty of Science and other Faculties
- Secure research funding and attract external collaborations
- Teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Contribute to the development of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology
- Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical biology, or a closely related field
- Postdoctoral experience and a strong research record
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in post-secondary education
