Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Metal Structure Fabricator to join our team at Summa. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for drafting, assembling, and welding wrought metals to meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and symbols to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Collaborate with our design team to develop and implement new fabrication techniques and processes
  • Operate various welding equipment and machinery to produce high-quality metal structures
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding
  • Strong knowledge of trigonometry and geometry
  • Expertise in staircase and railing design
  • Experience in manufacturing complex architectural metals
  • Experience in steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel welding
  • Experience in architectural stainless-steel polishing
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or equivalent
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Spanish language skills an asset
