Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Metal Fabricator to join our team at Summa. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for drafting, assembling, and welding wrought metals to meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Operate various welding equipment and machinery to fabricate metal structures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and develop complex metal fabrication projects.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
  • Expertise in staircase and railing design.
  • Experience in manufacturing complex architectural metals.
  • Experience in steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel welding.
  • Experience in architectural stainless-steel polishing.
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Spanish language skills an asset.
