Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team at VP LIFT TRUCK SERVICES INC. as an Industrial Equipment Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and service on industrial trucks and forklifts, estimating repair costs, and advising customers on work performed and equipment condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate repair costs and perform scheduled maintenance and service on industrial trucks and forklifts.
  • Advise customers on work performed and equipment condition.
  • Repair and rebuild hoisting mechanism and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts.
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
  • Work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment.

Personal Suitability:

  • Accurate and reliable with a client-focused approach.
  • Organized and a team player with strong judgement.

Work Terms:

  • Permanent position.
  • 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
