Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Home Child Care Provider to join our team at 1803854 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Plan and implement engaging activities to promote cognitive, emotional, and social development in children
    • Establish a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children to explore and learn
    • Assist children with homework and educational tasks
  • Household Management
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home environment
    • Shop for food and household supplies to ensure a well-stocked pantry and household essentials
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to meet the dietary needs of children
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities
    • Run errands and complete tasks as needed to support the family
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support
    • Collaborate with the family to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each child
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in child care or a related field
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    • Reliability and punctuality
Working Conditions

The Home Child Care Provider will work in a non-smoking environment and will be required to relocate to the employer's home. The work setting will be in a private residence, and the provider will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Language and Culture

The primary language spoken in the home is English, and the provider will be expected to communicate effectively with the family in this language.
