About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Child Care Provider to join our team at Gracelle & Reijay Biscaro. As a Home Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and education to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Household Management: Manage the household, including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
  • Errands and Chores: Run errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up dry cleaning, and perform tasks like washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens.
  • Child Supervision: Supervise and care for children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children.
  • Discipline and Guidance: Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents and provide guidance on personal hygiene and social development.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including performing CPR and first aid as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking and scent-free.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate.
  • Transportation: Public transportation available.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
