About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our carpentry department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities, training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Co-ordinate schedules and activities to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions and disciplinary measures, in consultation with senior management.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Procure materials and supplies as needed to support operations.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, business administration).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with a regular schedule.
  • 32 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Work location: On-site at various construction projects.
