About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Physician Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to contribute to the provision of continuous care in a team-based setting. You will work collaboratively with cardiologists, residents, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Position
  • Responsibilities:
  • Participate in patient rounds and contribute to the day-to-day care of patients under the supervision of a cardiologist;
  • Perform and document admission history and physical examination, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation as per organizational standards;
  • Develop treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals;
  • Participate in professional development activities, including accredited training recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Maintenance of Certification Program;
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools;
  • Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist, verified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC;
  • Valid Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or eligibility to live and work in British Columbia;
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC in the Associate Physician class, under sponsorship by Fraser Health Authority;
  • Proficiency in the English language, as established by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC's English language proficiency requirements;
