Senior Manager, Credit Strategy

Job Summary
As a Senior Manager, Credit Strategy & Data Science, you will lead the development of credit strategies to grow RBC revenue and manage risk. You will use advanced analytics to inform lending decisions and optimize the profitability of RBC's retail credit card portfolio. You will also be accountable for the development of an existing talented credit team within the group.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit strategies to grow RBC revenue and manage risk
- Use data mining, profitability modeling, and business intuition to inform lending decisions
- Optimize the profitability of RBC's retail credit card portfolio
- Engage senior management and Group Risk Management partners to refine and execute credit strategies
- Support the implementation and ongoing integrity of credit strategies within appropriate systems
- Build financial models to simulate financial outcomes of strategy decisions
- Generate learnings to enhance credit strategies using Design of Experiments (DOE) and other testing methodologies
- Support the attraction, development, and establishment of a highly talented analytical credit team
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive analytics experience, preferably performing advanced risk analytics and strategy design for lending products
- Expert problem-solving skills, including understanding of credit risk fundamentals and financial modeling
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, SAS, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with modern analytical tools and technology stacks, including Python, GitHub, AWS, and HDFS
- Experience with Data Visualization tools, such as Python (Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn) and Tableau
- Ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders, credit bureaus, and remote teams
- Ability to design and deliver compelling presentations to senior management and other stakeholders
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality and accurate work with the ability to multitask and shift priorities
