We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Standard Manufacturers Services Limited. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools to perform precision machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Maintain CNC Machines: Ensure all machine centers, tools, and fixtures are kept safe, calibrated, and in excellent working condition.
  • Verify Product Quality: Verify conformance of finished product to dimensional specifications, using precise measuring equipment and calculations to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and Report Non-Conformities: Identify non-conforming parts and report to supervisor and quality assurance.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read, interpret, and understand blueprints to ensure accurate machining operations.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety and health policies and programs.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement: Bring forth and participate in departmental continuous improvements.
  • Support Lean Initiative: Support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd's Lean initiative.
Working Conditions:
  • Attention to Detail: Must possess attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work as part of a team.
Shifts:
  • 4-Day Week: 4 days a week, 10 hours a day, Monday to Thursday.
  • Weekend Shift: Weekend 12 hours a day, Friday to Sunday.
Employment Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience is preferred.
  • Education: Completion of high school is required.
  • WHMIS Certification: WHMIS Certification is required.
