Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at CP. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to perform precision machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to determine machining operations and plan the best sequence of operations.
  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools to perform precision machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, and drilling.
  • Verify product dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to the supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports.

Requirements

  • An Inter-Provincial Red Seal in the trade of Machinist is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and computer skills.
  • Ability to work within strict safety and work guidelines to complete the job.
