Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel, Partners

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Partners to join our team at Partners Worldwide. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting our global partner organization and helping to drive the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic legal and business advice to our Partner organization to support the expansion of our global partner channel and the execution of our partner programs.
  • Draft and negotiate complex legal agreements with our partners, including reseller, distributor, technology integration, OEM, marketplace, professional services, and co-sell agreements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for our Partner team on negotiation best practices, applicable legal and compliance requirements, and other relevant legal issues.
  • Collaborate with other business teams, including sales, product, technical services, professional services, and finance, to launch new partner programs, draft and refine program guidelines and corresponding legal terms, and implement scalable processes to meet our Partner team's business objectives.
  • Partner closely with our product and engineering teams on new product integrations and with our partner-focused technical services team on support to and with our partners.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in technology transactions, including in-house experience at a SaaS company.
  • Proven record of success at a top law firm and in-house at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience supporting business teams responsible for global partnerships and negotiating transactions for partner programs, including reseller, distributor, technology integration, OEM, marketplace, professional services, and other complex partner agreements.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise software, cloud services, strategic partnerships, licensing, intellectual property, antitrust, contract, data privacy, and security issues.
  • Excellent business judgment and an ability to balance risk while promptly identifying practical, business-oriented solutions based on imperfect information.
  • Strong people and collaboration skills with the ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders to accomplish a common goal to deliver high-impact projects that scale the business.
  • Motivated, organized, and flexible self-starter who thrives working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with shifting and competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong leadership presence and the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex legal concepts to business people.
  • Curious and enthusiastic about technology and a commitment to keep learning and growing.
  • Licensed in an appropriate jurisdiction.
