About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Development Leader to join our team at Colliers Project Leaders. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the Eastern Ontario region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve annual targets of at least 15% growth.
    • Lead a team of Project Professionals and ensure they have the necessary qualifications, training, and experience.
    • Execute performance management deliverables, including coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
    • Report the status of key projects, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and execute a diversified growth strategy and tactical action plan to achieve sales and fee income targets.
    • Oversee the development of proposals and lead the team to actively expand business with existing clients.
    • Effectively manage client relationships and leverage the Account Management Program.
  • Market Identity
    • Participate in local business community networking and contribute to thought leadership efforts.
    • Establish the company as a best-in-class provider through conference speaking and other marketing efforts.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop the financial acumen of the team and conduct regular reviews of team financial performance.
    • Have a thorough understanding of revenue recognition reporting and submit realistic budgets and forecasts.
Requirements
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in operational and business development leadership.
  • Experience in finding and closing sales, managing a portion of a business unit P&L, and motivating and inspiring teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial risk and developing approaches to address industry trends.
