We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Canadian Banking Branch network, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.
  • Develop relationships with various Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the local business community.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice to help them build successful businesses.
  • Possess a results-oriented attitude and have sound knowledge of the small business market, including the features and benefits of small business products and services.
  • Demonstrate excellent business development techniques and be conversant with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing.
  • Have good organizational skills and be flexible to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Have an education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
