Quality Engineer Job Description

At INVISTA, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Site Quality Team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in leading continuous improvement initiatives and providing technical guidance to production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct PFMEA to identify potential failure modes and develop strategies to mitigate top quality risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand processes and risks.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams to build capability and knowledge on quality risks and controls.
  • Foster a data-driven environment by applying quality core tools, including SPC and MSA.
  • Lead quality initiatives for capital projects by developing PFMEAs early in the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate risk assessments, improvement recommendations, and preventative actions effectively.
  • Interface with customers to understand their unmet needs and translate those into improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or technical field.
  • Experience applying PFMEA and other quality core tools in an industrial environment (preferably automotive).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability through the application of disciplined problem-solving tools.
  • Demonstrated application of statistical analysis to make decisions and drive actionable strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience developing the capability of team members.
